    陈哲:Modern power systems with large scale renewable energy and power system integerations

    报告简介:

    Traditional fossil fuel based energy technology is being replaced by clean energy technologies, such as wind and PV generators, green hydrogen electrolysis, heat pumps and various storages, etc. Power systems are in transition towards renewable energy based power systems, where large scale power electronis are used, including renewable power generator interfaces, HVDC and FACTS devices, active distribution systems and prosumers. A new power system is emerging, and been developing towards a clean, sustainable energy systems


    The presentation will briefly introduce the statues of modern renewable power generation technologies, wind power and solar PVs, and discribe the features and challenges associated with the large scale utilisation of renewable power sources and power electronic technologies, in particularlly, power systm flexibiity and power system protections.


    报告人简介:

    Zhe Chen, a professor at Aalborg University, Denmark, head of the wind energy research team, serves as editor/associate editor/editorial board member for several international journals. His main research directions include modern power system, multi-energy systems, smart grid, renewable energy generation, power electronic systems, etc. and he has published more than 1,000 papers in these fields. Professor Zhe Chen is a fellow of IEEE and IET, a Chartered Engineer, a member of the Danish Academy of Engineering, and a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts.


    陈哲,丹麦奥尔堡大学教授、博士生导师,风能研究团队负责人,担任多个国际期刊主编/副主编/编委。主要研究方向主要包括现代电力系统、多能源系统、智能电网、可再生能源发电、电力电子系统等。发表论文1000多篇,陈哲教授是IEEE 会士. IET会士,英国特许工程师,丹麦工程院院士,欧洲科学与艺术院院士。
