    报告人简介:


     Dong-Choon Lee received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 1985, 1987 and 1993, respectively. He was a Research Engineer for Daewoo Heavy Industry, Korea, from 1987 to 1988. He has been a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Yeungnam University, Gyeongsan, Korea, since 1994. He was a Visiting Scholar in the Power Quality Laboratory, Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, USA, in 1998; the Electrical Drive Center, University of Nottingham, Nottingham, ENG, UK, in 2001; the Wisconsin Electric Machines and Power Electronics Consortium, University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI, USA, in 2004; and the FREEDM Systems Center, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA, from September 2011 to August 2012. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Power Electronics of the Korean Institute of Power Electronics (KIPE), from 2015 to 2017. In 2019, he served as the President of KIPE. He has been elected as the General Chair of ICPE 2023-ECCE Asia, which will be held at May 2023, in Jeju, Korea. Currently, he is serving as an RDL of IEEE PELS and also an Associate Editor of TPEL. His current research interests include power converter design and control, renewable energy and its grid connection, AC machine drives, and DC power system.


    报告简介:

     In this lecture, different control techniques for wind power generation systems based on DFIG and PMSG will be introduced, where MPPT method considering rotor inertia, pitch control, different LVRT (low-voltage ride-through) methods, and PLL (phase-locked loop) method are included. The selected research topics have been implemented with small-scaled wind turbine simulator at laboratory.
